Everything You Need to Know About the Boothbay Craft Brewery

History

The Boothbay Craft Brewery is a very special place. Since its construction in 2009, the brewery has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. With the community’s help, owners Lori and Win Mitchell wanted to build a public house — a place where everyone could come together and enjoy tasty local brews and farm-to-table fare. The Mitchells built their brewery from the ground up using their own sawmill and donated materials from supporters. Today, they continue to bring people together over honest food and drink, keeping their original promise. The brewery has even expanded! Now, the property includes The Watershed Tavern and two on-property RV hookups.

Offerings

The Boothbay Craft Brewery beer list consists of four signature drafts, plus a rotating selection of seasonal picks. The ever-popular Boothbay Thirsty Botanist IPA is just one example! IPA enthusiasts will feel right at home here since many of the brewery’s year-round offerings are IPAs, but there’s still certainly something for everyone.

The brewery closes in December, after the annual Festival of Lights and Gardens Aglow events take place, and reopens in the spring. Normal operating hours are Thursday through Sunday between 11:30 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Restaurant

The Watershed Tavern is the one of Boothbay Harbor’s most popular brewpubs. Located adjacent to the Boothbay Craft Brewery and owned by the Mitchells, this eatery serves up traditional bar bites and casual, farm-to-table offerings. Boothbay Harbor’s Watershed Tavern menu features plenty of wood-fired pizzas, local seafood options, burgers, and sandwiches.
