The Russell House could not have a better ambassador for Boothbay Harbor than lifelong resident, Nancy Long.  Nancy’s career has run the gamut, from banking to purchasing to hospitality.  She has absolutely found her calling as an innkeeper:  “I enjoy making people feel comfortable and welcomed while they are away from home.  I don’t consider myself a foodie, but I love to cook and I make sure folks do not leave here hungry.  I’m not a world traveler like many of my guests, but I know that working here, all walks of life will come to me.”

When Nancy isn’t welcoming guests, she enjoys anything to do with the outdoors – hiking, camping, bird watching, hunting and fishing.  Her variety of interests include football, baseball, NASCAR, Beagles and, because she’s a born-and-bred Mainer, lighthouses.

Nancy is more than happy to give you local restaurant recommendations, advice on day-trips, and, if you’re lucky, she may tell you about her four kids and eight grandkids!
